There have been many changes in the Indian World Cup Squad from 2015 to 2019. Many youngsters have made their way into the squad and many Senior players have been dropped. There were a few players in the 2015 World Cup team that performed exceptionally well but are no more a part of Indian team for 2015 edition of the Word Cup.Lets have a look at some of those Players
1.Suresh Raina. Suresh Raina was a regular in team India in 2015. He gave valuable contribution in the side in the middle order. He scored a 110 against Zimbabwe,74 against Pakistan and a crucial 65 in the quarter final against Bangladesh. But in the past few years inconsistency has let him to be dropped from the side and he doesn’t find a place in the World Cup Squad for 2019.He scored a total of 284 runs at a strike rate of 110.
2.Ajinkya Rahane. Ajinkya rahane was also and integral part of 2015 Indian Squad. He scored a total of 208 runs at a strike rate of 83. His quickfire 79 of 60 balls helped India post a massive score against South Africa. He played a few cameo innings throughout the tournament but over the period of time his performances dropped.Now he finds it difficult to make way into Indian team and is currently not a part of the Side.
3.Umesh Yadav. He was the 3rd highest wicket taker in 2015 World Cup and the highest wicket taker for India. He scalped a total of 18 Wickets in the Tournament and provided India crucial breakthrough throughout the Tournament. But sadly he could not continue the same form and fitness and with youngsters coming in it was hard for him to hold on to a place in the Indian side.
4.Ravichandran Ashwin. He took a total of 13 wickets in the tournament with an impressive economy rate of 4.29.But with his inconsistency in white ball cricket and with the emergence of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal as the First Choice spinner for India in ODI cricket Ravichandran Ashwin no longer find himself in the reckoning for the Indian cricket team World Cup Squad.
5.Mohit Sharma. Mohit Sharma was brought in the Indian side as a replacement for Ishant Sharma but he impressed everyone with his bowling spells in the world cup and provided vital breakthroughs throughout the tournament but with deteriorating form and fitness and with youngsters taking up the challenge it was difficult for Mohit Sharma to retain his place in the Indian side and he last played for India in 2015.
