1.Most runs as an Opener.

Alastair Cook is the only batsmen in the History of Test Cricket to score 10000 runs as and opener.He scored a total of 11627 runs as an opener.The Great Sunil Gavaskar Scored 9607 and is second on the list. Graeme Smith has a total of 9030 runs as an opener and is third on the list.

2. Most Consecutive Tests.

Alastair Cook Played a total of 158 consecutive tests from 2006-2018.He wasn’t dropped a single time during this Duration and never injured to miss out on any match. Previous best was Allan Borders Tally of 153 Consecutive Test Matches which Cook Overtook.

3. Most Runs in Subcontinent by a visiting Batsmen.

Alastair Cook proved very effective in the Indian Subcontinent unlike other batsmen.He has the record for the most number of runs by a visiting Batsmen in Asia.He scored a total of 2710 runs at an Average of 53.13. Jacques Kallis is second on the list with 2058 runs at an Average of 55.62 and Ricky Ponting 3rd  with 1889 runs at an Average of 41.97.

4. Most Centuries in Subcontinent by a visiting batsmen.

Cook scored a total of 9 Centuries in the Indian Subcontinent which is the most by a Non Subcontinent Batsmen.He has a total of 32 Test Centuries which is the Highest by any Englishmen.

5. Youngest to 6000,7000,8000,9000,10000,11ooo,12000 Test Runs.

Alastair cook is also the Youngest Batsmen to score 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000, 10000, 11000 and 12000 runs in Test Matches. He also is the 5th Highest Run scorer of all time and is top run scorer among lefty batsmen.
