Virat Kohli has been in Sublime form since he made his Debut In International Cricket for India.He broke many batting records made by legends and created some new Records as Well.But since becoming the captain of India in all the three formats in January 2017 he has taken his to game to the next Level.In a short span of captaincy he has made many records.Let us have a Look at all the records that King Kohli has made after becoming the Captain.

 

1.Most ODI runs in a calendar year as a captain.

Kohli Piled on 1460 runs in the Calender year 2017 at an average of 76.84 and a strike rate of 99.11 with 7 fifties and 6 hundreds,the most by any Captain in international Cricket ever.He broke Ricky Ponting’s 10 year old record.Ponting had scored 1424 runs with 5 Hundreds and 8 Fifties in 2007.

 

2.Three hundreds in his first three innings as captain.

Kohli is the only Batsmen in the History of test Cricket to Score 3 Hundreds in the first 3 Innings as the Captain.He Achieved this feat Against the Australians Scoring 115 and 141 in Adelaide in 2014 and Followed it up with 147 in Sydney in 2015.

 

3.Quickest to score 20 hundreds as captain across all formats.

Kohli took a total of 93 Innings combined in all three formats to score a total of 20 International Hundreds.Legends like Ricky Ponting took 164 and Graeme Smith took 227 innings to do the same.Looking at the numbers Virat Kohli is way ahead of them.It speaks volumes of his potential.

 

4. Most ODI hundreds in a calender year as a captain.

Kohli scored a total of 6 ODI centuries in the calender year 2017,the most by any captain.No other captain has achieved this feat so far.

 

5.Most number of double hundred as a captain in test Cricket.

Kohli has a total of 6 double Hundreds in test cricket as the captain of India.Next up is Brian Lara at 5.Don Bradman,Graeme Smith and Michael Clarke have 4 each.

 

6.Most consecutive Test series win (9) as a captain.

Kohli holds the record for most consecutive test series wins combined with Ricky Ponting.Both of them have won 9 test series on the trot.Kohli had achieved this feat in the 2015-2017 Season. Ponting had done it in 2005-2008 season.
